3/18 Starting with vampires, Vampires: The Eternal puts Samira at the center. She returns to Earth after a century of banishment and considers herself its rightful vampire queen. That title tells you how she sees herself. It doesn't mean every other vampire has agreed to be ruled by her. Samira wants submission, and her ambitions extend beyond ordinary human prey. She expects other supernatural beings to recognize her power too. That gives the vampire side of Grimm a political dimension. Blood hunger is part of the horror, but so are authority, old grievances, and what happens when someone with centuries of history decides everyone else owes them obedience.
