SHANG Shang introduces himself as Arcane Acre's headmaster. That's worth distinguishing from Sela and Belinda's teaching roles, because the school has an actual structure around the students. He is helping build the environment in which this next generation will train. His reputation reaches the students before they have much personal experience of him. They have heard stories about what he's done. Yet some of his first responsibilities are considerably less grand than battling ancient evil. Sela asks him to make sure Skye makes friends. His reaction is funny because he is an ancient man from another realm being asked to solve an ordinary teenage problem. Experience doesn't automatically make every situation easy. What he does next shows judgment. He turns to Belinda because he recognizes that she understands isolation and the difficulty of reaching out. He isn't just delegating randomly. He sees something in her history that might help Skye, and he encourages her to use it constructively. That's a different kind of guidance from simply demonstrating a spell or winning a fight.
