TALLUS'S DEFENDERS

TALLUS'S DEFENDERS Tallus puts Sela and her companions in a horrible position. Orcus is outside the city, and he offers the frightened people a bargain involving the very people who might help defend them. Suddenly, being on the same side of the walls doesn't mean being on the same side. The defenders here are Sela, Blake, Bolder, Druanna and King William, alongside the city's soldiers. They come to the crisis with very different priorities. Sela and her friends need to survive, Druanna refuses to let fear decide everything, and William has a city looking to him for an answer. Calling them a permanent superhero team would miss the tension. This is an alliance formed under pressure, with distrust inside the city and an army outside it. The people Tallus considers sacrificing end up helping protect it.
