Before telling Jaroslav you’re ready, check the actual preparation: witnesses contacted, Katra questioned, Godwin’s manuscript read, and Matthias’s die delivered to Johanka. Restore Henry’s condition and bring what you use for speech checks. A tired, injured Henry is not who I would send into the final hearing if there’s still time to prepare. During the trial, take the opportunities to defend her. Call the witnesses you gathered instead of remaining silent. Use the manuscript when the theological argument comes up, challenge the accusation that she is blessing people, and expose the missing part of Katra’s account when that option appears. Keep the defense focused on Johanka’s actions and intentions. A favorable result lets her remain with Matthias. Other outcomes include punishment and removal to a convent, or the much harsher sentence that leads to her death. This is why I would keep a save from before the hearing, not just after it has already gone wrong. There isn’t one magic final sentence that wipes out the whole questline. Earlier choices, testimony, persuasion and Johanka’s behavior all contribute. The route here aims to build a strong defense, but I wouldn’t describe every individual dialogue option as a guaranteed switch for the best ending. Finish by checking back with the surviving characters.
