Follow the clues south into the trees: a scarf, the remains of a picnic, then more belongings leading toward a little camp. Jakey is tied to a tree. Speak to him and find out what happened. Save before questioning him if you're collecting achievements. Keeping your promise to untie and release him leads to Pinky Promise. Leaving him tied up to make him talk is the alternative Torturer route; don't expect both from the same resolution. For the route I'd lay out here, release him and hear the extra information about Hagen's intended bribe. Tell Ernest what you've learned about Maria, then report to Kuno. Discuss the bribe and his loyalty to Radzig before the final ride. That gives you another option when Hagen actually makes his offer.
