Archangel needs his own conversation because there is a lot more happening to Warren here than a different costume and a more dangerous set of wings. By the time Apocalypse gets involved, Warren has already been through an awful sequence of events. His wings are badly damaged during the Mutant Massacre, and losing them leaves him in a position where someone offering to give flight back to him has enormous leverage. He wants to fly again. Think about what that offer means to him. Flying is something he has spent his life doing. It is how he fights, how he gets around and a huge part of how he understands himself. Apocalypse is offering access to something Warren has lost at the moment he is least equipped to examine the price. The supposed rescue comes with another person deciding what his body will become and what he will be used for. That makes the transformation uncomfortable even before he is sent against his friends. There is a real distinction between Warren wanting his wings back and Warren freely choosing everything Apocalypse does to him. Those should not get folded into the same decision just because the resulting character looks impressive on the page.
