Lillian Crawley's body is protected against physical harm, making her an obvious person to consider for dangerous work. She is also much less easy to get along with than a simple powers list would suggest. Her time in Gamma involves plenty of bickering with the other trainees. These people have spent time together, but they have not all become friends. Having to work beside someone has given Lil opportunities to decide exactly what she dislikes about them. Madison Jeffries is the important exception in Lil's early history. They have had a relationship, giving Gamma a personal connection that survives the end of the training program, however awkwardly. Lil then goes along with Courtney and Jaxon's recruitment into Omega Flight. Her protection against injury does not make her unbeatable: Shaman defeats her in the first clash with Alpha. In #28, Lil is startled to find Madison alive when he steps in to stop Omega. Her former boyfriend is now on the other side of the confrontation.
