4. Marrina brings the first big mystery

4. Marrina brings the first big mystery Marrina Smallwood has a family and a home in Newfoundland before Alpha Flight ever enters her life. Her unusual appearance doesn't stop the Smallwoods from raising her. The mystery is where she came from before they found her egg in the sea. Her swimming ability makes her an obvious recruit, but the early issues quickly reveal how little the team understands about her. A sudden compulsion draws her north. Her personality changes, Puck is badly hurt, and the others have to follow her without knowing what they will find. That trail leads to the Master of the World and an alien ship. Marrina is one of the Plodex, and the story starts separating the life she has lived from the purpose her species intended for her. Namor and the Invisible Girl become involved in the rescue, and Marrina leaves with Namor after the confrontation. Four issues into the ongoing, one of its new members already has a life pulling her away from the group. The book already has a loose arrangement, with members living apart and unavailable for some adventures. Marrina has questions about herself that Alpha Flight cannot answer simply by giving her a place on the roster. https://t.co/TUCrOT8gdF https://t.co/qF3chexjPD https://t.co/RNVP88fp7W
