3. Puck gets a hospital story before a victory lap Eugene Judd arrives with an instantly recognizable look and a fighting style built around speed, balance and acrobatics. Then the book puts him in a hospital almost immediately. Marrina seriously wounds him during her first uncontrolled episode in #2. Issue #5 gives Puck a story of his own. While recovering, he discovers a drug operation in the hospital and starts investigating. It is a good introduction to the kind of teammate he can be. Judd pays attention. He notices when something doesn't add up, follows it, and puts his experience to work without waiting for the rest of Alpha Flight to arrive. His size is part of how Byrne stages the action, but there is considerably more going on than a visual gag. He is personable with the hospital staff, physically capable even while recovering, and willing to take a problem seriously when it has nothing to do with a costumed enemy. Puck earns his space through what he does, with hints of a much longer life behind him. https://t.co/c0VlkL8Y0f https://t.co/ahnFFsofIF
