1. Alpha Flight gets its own book, and loses its funding Alpha Flight's ongoing starts with a fairly awkward problem for a team getting its own title: the government has shut the operation down. John Byrne is writing and drawing the series, and the first issue immediately gives these people a reason to get back together anyway. Tundra is loose. Officially employed or not, they are still the people who can do something about it. The returning six are James Hudson, Northstar, Aurora, Sasquatch, Shaman and Snowbird. Puck and Marrina are the two new faces moving up from the Flight program. Heather Hudson also belongs in this conversation, because she helps get the scattered heroes moving when Mac is still insisting there is no team anymore. That is a useful starting point for the ongoing. Withdrawing government backing doesn't take away their abilities, their relationships or the emergencies happening around them. This spotlight covers the first twelve issues, through the end of that first year. The earlier X-Men introduction already has its own post. Here, we finally get to follow Alpha Flight home. https://t.co/gqaPPNGi9P https://t.co/Vm83MHaPn3
