Alex Power is the oldest of the four, which puts him in the position of trying to lead people who already know exactly how to get on his nerves. That is a different arrangement from assembling a group of strangers and hoping they learn to trust each other. His early codename is Gee. The gravity power lets him change how weight affects him and other objects, giving him ways to lift or move something that his ordinary body could not handle. It is easy to describe that as another version of super-strength, but the distinction matters. He is changing the conditions around the weight rather than simply developing larger muscles. That makes him useful in a group with flight, density control and energy attacks. Each sibling can approach the same obstacle differently. Alex does not have to solve every problem himself for his leadership to mean something. Uncanny X-Men #195 gives him a situation he cannot fix with a power demonstration: the children’s parents no longer recognize them. He tries to reason through what has happened, connecting the problem to the Morlocks’ ability to alter memories. Being the oldest makes him the person trying to find an explanation, even though he is frightened too. That is an important part of writing a child leader. Responsibility can fall on someone before they are equipped for it. The others looking to Alex does not mean he has suddenly become an adult, and it does not mean every choice he makes is the right one. For this snapshot, his place in Power Pack comes from that combination. He has a genuinely useful power, but he is also an older brother trying to keep three younger siblings together when their usual safety net has disappeared. The gravity tricks are impressive. The responsibility is much heavier.
