SCP-068: The Wire Figure SCP-068 starts as a wire person small enough to fit in your hand. Give it an electrical current and it immediately starts looking for metal to make more of itself. The copies help build further copies. Once it reaches its limit or runs out of suitable material nearby, the little figures join together into a larger body. That body can reach roughly two meters tall, then starts making figures on its own larger scale. The original stays inside the assembled body. It's apparently impervious to damage, but its copies inherit the weaknesses of whatever metal they were made from. It can also locate metal it can't see and tear through accessible obstacles to reach it. Containment means keeping electricity and usable metal away from it. A steel box would give it something to work with. Then somebody proposes using it to dispose of dangerous metal-based anomalies. That gets rejected because several of those objects are themselves indestructible. Feeding them into a machine that makes copies could leave the Foundation with a collection of invulnerable wire figures. A useful reminder to think past the first successful step of a disposal plan. https://t.co/a0ootSQHf9
