SCP-067: The Artist's Pen Pick up SCP-067 and your hand might start writing things you weren't planning to tell anybody. The old fountain pen never runs out of ink. Holding it puts their writing arm under another influence. The pen can produce a detailed biography, including fears and a criminal record, or return to an event the person barely remembers. One subject wrote about a car accident with details he'd forgotten. While writing, the memory became physically vivid enough for him to describe tasting blood again. It also produces intricate artwork through people who have never learned to draw. That sounds appealing until you get to how they describe the experience. They know something else is moving their hand, but they admire the work and want to cooperate. Instructions to resist don't overcome that attachment. A test with a macaque goes much worse, ending in distress and strange vocalizations rather than a neat explanation. The pen's motives remain unclear. It's easy to understand why somebody would keep watching a beautiful picture appear beneath their fingers. The uncomfortable part is that their willingness to continue may be another thing the pen supplied, along with the drawing. Personal note: This one actually stood out to me a lot because I'm a writer and an author. Even just having that connection to art caught my attention. It's very interesting, and I like this one a lot. https://t.co/zKsF0qfWfb
