SCP-061: Auditory Mind Control SCP-061 is something the Foundation made itself. The goal was learning to defend people against auditory mind control, and the result is a program that can control them. Its sounds interrupt conscious control and replace it with instructions. Most subjects remember nothing afterward. A few report remaining aware while their bodies act without their consent. Testing shows how little judgment survives. Tell somebody to run on a treadmill and they try without switching it on. Improve the instructions and they can run, but a stop command leaves them getting thrown off the moving belt. The researchers respond by refining the commands. The subject keeps paying for the missing details. Containment treats the software accordingly: no internet connection, no wireless-capable devices, isolated audio testing, and wiped computers afterward. Countermeasures are much less elegant. Blocking hearing works; another command permanently disables the brain's ability to process sound, with no known way to restore it. The file still describes the project as promising. The subjects have less to celebrate. The researchers have demonstrated control and learned how thoroughly it removes a person's ability to protect themselves. The promised defense remains tied to blocking sound or sacrificing hearing. https://t.co/zCcYubovvz
