SCP-060: Infernal Occult Skeleton The Foundation's rules for SCP-060 read like serious gardening instructions. Water the trees, prune them, compost the cuttings, and absolutely do not set anything on fire. The anomaly is a grove of white oaks in Minnesota. Burn even a small amount of their wood and a huge skeleton appears, surrounded by white flames. It runs, leaps, attacks people, and deliberately starts fires. It also seems to learn. Across repeated appearances, the skeleton becomes more familiar with the site's layout. Researchers suspect they're dealing with the same entity each time, rather than creating another whenever somebody burns a branch. Enough water or fire suppressant reduces it to dust. That still leaves a cleanup problem: the places it burned start producing oak saplings weeks later, so staff have to treat nearby new growth as potentially anomalous too. A burned house and missing owner suggest an earlier encounter, but the file never settles what happened to him. Putting out the fire only gets the staff through the immediate emergency. After the flames are gone, somebody still has to inspect the grounds, collect the dead wood, and make sure an ordinary maintenance decision doesn't start everything again. https://t.co/wdVY4KzVIr
