SCP-052: Time-Traveling Train
The train shows up at 11:57 every Saturday night. Where it has been between stops is another matter entirely.
SCP-052 is an old New York subway train that should have been scrapped. It appears at the same station, opens its doors for a few minutes, then disappears. Passengers get off claiming they boarded years in the past or future, with no memory of the ride.
Some are ordinary people who took the wrong train. Getting home becomes almost irrelevant when the Foundation decides your presence could interfere with the timeline. Coming from the future can mean indefinite detention, even if all you wanted was a ride across town.
The research trips go badly. One agent returns without his hands, carrying a warning to stop sending people. Another agent's body arrives from a future trip he hasn't taken yet.
That complicates security procedures. Do you stop him boarding, or is whatever you do already part of how he ends up there?
The train has a timetable. The passengers have dates. Everything looks specific enough to investigate, yet the actual journey stays inaccessible. All the Foundation can reliably manage is the platform.
