PlainPunch is now Gold on the Forge, with v1.1.2 available. It's a small, self-hosted time clock for recording shifts and breaks. Employees can sign in through the web interface or a shared kiosk, check their own history, and request corrections. Administrators review those requests and export the records, with an audit trail of changes. The scope is deliberately narrow. No screenshots, location tracking, keystroke monitoring, or productivity scores. People record when they start, stop, and take a break. This release fixes a setup problem where the installed command-line tool and web app could use different default databases. They now agree on the default, while explicitly configured paths stay intact. Existing databases aren't moved or merged, and the recovery guide explains what to check if you used an earlier installation. The update also tightens account validation and includes backup and recovery instructions in the installed package. Validation covered 42 tests, 96% coverage, Linux/macOS/Windows CI, fresh package installation, and Linux Docker deployment. You'll still need to configure and maintain your own deployment. PlainPunch records time; payroll rules, overtime policies, and retention requirements remain the operator's responsibility. https://t.co/KWZEOKqtya
