SCP-041: Thought-Broadcasting Patient Imagine trying to keep a conversation professional when everyone in the room can hear what you're actually thinking. SCP-041 is a patient who depends on life support and appears unresponsive. Around him, though, people's thoughts become audible to everyone nearby. He can broadcast his own thoughts too, and occasionally interrupts with a comment. There's still a person in that bed, even if he usually doesn't feel like talking. The effect picks up the voice you're thinking in. Mental images can get through as well, but they're harder to communicate accurately. The receiver's imagination can fill in the gaps and change what was sent. Naturally, some Foundation employees start using the poor man to find out whether somebody likes them. Apparently, access to impossible phenomena doesn't stop people from acting like they're in middle school. Then there's the little girl's singing someone hears in the room. SCP-041 says it isn't him. The file mentions another anomaly, but leaves any connection unconfirmed. That's an uncomfortable possibility to leave hanging. You get used to hearing everybody's thoughts, then hear something you can't confidently assign to anyone present. https://t.co/31XC1mmjIY
