SCP-036: The Reincarnation Pilgrimage of the Yazidi (Kiras Guhorîn) Every September 23, a plane lands near Mosul carrying people who died during the previous year. SCP-036 is the annual journey that follows. The passengers are Yazidi pilgrims. Documents, photographs, personal knowledge, and sometimes fingerprints establish their identities, yet they cannot recognize friends or relatives. The arriving aircraft never identifies itself, its masked crew stays aboard, and it leaves as soon as the passengers disembark. By late afternoon, the pilgrims insist that their journey must continue. They board a second aircraft supplied by the Foundation and crewed by Yazidi holy men. The passengers are never seen again. The plane returns around sunrise on October 1. Its crew and functioning recording equipment can account for only a few hours of the missing days. The destination is an airport that satellites cannot find. A task force trying to reach it during the pilgrimage disappeared. The file connects this journey to reincarnation and describes an older version conducted by camel caravan. After restrictions threatened that route, the Foundation arranged access to local aviation facilities. The mysterious flights followed almost immediately. Containment means clearing the airport and protecting the departure. The Foundation is helping an unexplained passage continue. https://t.co/VnA3DZBT0l
