SCP-034: Obsidian Ritual Knife Someone uses SCP-034 to impersonate a Foundation doctor. The real doctor is discovered tied up at home, missing a large patch of skin. Here’s how it works. Flesh cut from a living person can be placed against someone else's skin to transform them into a physical copy. A square centimetre buys roughly an hour. More skin buys more time. The copy goes beyond appearance. Height, strength, eyesight and even DNA change. So do physical problems: a broken arm carries over, and one test involving a fatal genetic condition ends with both people dead. The knife's own wounds are the exception. The impersonator keeps their memories and personality. The donor also has to remain alive, because their death immediately ends the disguise. Those details make it a horrible infiltration tool. Someone could pass a physical check while the person they're copying remains a prisoner somewhere, kept alive to preserve the disguise. The original intruder had enough material to stay inside for days, and an unidentified benefactor had supplied the knife and instructions. Catching that one impostor doesn't answer who sent him, or what they wanted him waiting for. https://t.co/aIFyWPfzdk
