Safe Bulk Rename Planner has reached Gold. It gives you a preview and a reviewable manifest before renaming a batch of files, with apply and undo operations tied to that plan. There were a couple of especially useful fixes in this pass: rollback after a partly completed rename cycle, and Windows renames where you're only changing the capitalization. The latter now preserves the requested spelling through actual apply and undo checks. The planner checks source hashes, proposed names, and target conditions before starting. It works on files, skips discovered symbolic links, and leaves file contents alone. An interrupted operation can still need manual recovery, so keep the journal and review the plan. For a folder full of names you want to clean up, being able to inspect the whole set before applying it is the point. https://t.co/9MZ7ZqJvvc
