CBZ Page Auditor is now Gold with v2.0.0. This is one of the comic tools I've been working through, and it covers both archive integrity and problems with the pages inside.
It checks CBZ, CB7, and CBR files without changing them. If you're working through a larger collection, you can resume an audit from a validated checkpoint rather than start over. That checkpoint is tied to the source files and decoder, so it can't quietly stand in for a different scan.
The Gold work added more careful checks before image decoding, limits on archive expansion, and complete ZIP-stream validation. Partial findings stay visible when a member can't be fully checked. The release now requires Python 3.11+ and Pillow 13.
CB7 and CBR support need the appropriate separately installed backends. The report gives you issues to investigate while leaving the collection untouched.
