MOON BOY
Moon Boy enters the Angels' company alongside Devil Dinosaur in #4. Their arrival adds another established partnership to a group already built from smaller connections: Roberto and Warlock, Gomi and his companions, Ariel and Chance.
His bond with Devil matters because the rest of the group cannot simply assume they share a language or the same way of understanding a situation. Physical proximity can make them companions before it makes communication easy.
That difficulty remains visible during the imprisonment in #8. A plan involving Devil Dinosaur requires someone who can make the idea understood, and the others cannot explain every detail to Moon Boy through their limited gestures.
His presence gives the ensemble a practical challenge beyond collecting impressive powers. Working together requires finding out how another member communicates and what they understand. The reader can follow a shared crisis more easily than all its participants can explain it to one another.
