LEECH: A POWER THAT CHANGES WHAT OTHER PEOPLE CAN DO
Leech can suppress powers around him. On a page full of mutants, that can change a situation quickly, including for people who are trying to help him.
In the opening of X-Terminators, that ability is part of how Takeshi discovers that his own unusual talent is a mutant power. Leech's presence helps reveal something that Taki hadn't understood about himself.
Leech and Artie are then caught up in the kidnapping plot. They're children facing enemies who are prepared to use them as threats against somebody else, which puts their friendship under a very direct kind of pressure.
The younger characters still get opportunities to act. During the finale, Artie and Leech help interfere with the computer holding their friends prisoner.
For this entry, Leech's importance comes from those specific things: his unusual effect on other people's powers, his bond with Artie and his part in helping the group escape. He belongs in the account of what this team accomplished.
