RICTOR: JULIO ESTEBAN RICHTER Rictor's power involves generating powerful vibrations. He can shake and break things, which makes the space around a fight important as well as whoever he's aiming at. In this miniseries, he's part of the older rescue group with Rusty, Skids and Boom-Boom. By #3, they're using maps to work out where the missing children are being held while the city around them becomes increasingly dangerous. That's a useful setting for looking at this early version of him. Having a destructive power doesn't remove the need to figure out where people are, reach them and get them out safely. The team has different tools available: fire, explosions, protection and vibration. Rictor's place in that combination is worth covering before moving into the many later versions of his career. For now, this is Julio during the X-Terminators period. Keeping each spotlight tied to an era lets us follow how a character changes instead of describing every appearance as though he was already the same person from the beginning.
