BOOM-BOOM: TABITHA SMITH Tabitha can create explosive energy spheres with a delay before they go off. That's the basic power behind the Boom-Boom name, and it gives her plenty of ways to get someone's attention. She also has a fairly unusual route into this part of the X-family. Her earlier appearances involve the Beyonder, and her history includes the Fallen Angels before this young X-Terminators group. Here, she's one of the teenagers caught up in trying to rescue the younger children as the Inferno situation builds. Her outgoing, abrasive way of dealing with people sits alongside the fact that she is willing to put herself in danger for her friends. It's easy for a loud character to get summarized entirely by the jokes or the attitude. For this spotlight, the thing to follow is what Tabitha actually does when the people around her need help. This is Boom-Boom in the late-1980s X-Terminators story. The next stages of her team history can have their own posts as the series moves forward.
