LOCKHEED: GIVE THE DRAGON HIS OWN ENTRY
Lockheed goes into this lineup with Kitty, so he gets a separate spotlight too.
He's a small, flying, fire-breathing alien who looks like a purple dragon. His connection with Kitty goes back to the X-Men's Brood-era adventures, before Excalibur existed.
That means his presence here carries another piece of the older team's life into the new one. Kitty has lost contact with so many people she cares about, and Lockheed is still there beside her.
He can contribute in a fight, and his size lets him move around a scene differently from the human-sized members. He also gives artists another way to show reactions without stopping for a speech. Where he's looking, who he's staying close to and how he responds all become part of the scene.
For this launch thread, that's the version we're staying with. No later revelations or other organizations folded into the description.
That covers Excalibur's starting group. The later additions and changes can follow as their own updates instead of making this opening roster bigger than it actually was.
