CYCLOPS: LEADING X-FACTOR WITH HIS LIFE ALREADY COMPLICATED Scott Summers comes into this reunion with responsibilities that go well beyond putting the original team back together. He's married to Madelyne Pryor, they have a baby, and then he finds out Jean is alive. That situation follows him into X-Factor. The early issues don't give us a clean reunion where everybody knows everything and starts fresh. Scott is struggling to tell the truth, and Jean can tell there's something people aren't saying. On a mission, he can still make decisions and direct the people around him. In his personal life, he keeps putting off conversations that need to happen. Both things are happening at once. That's the Scott I'm covering here. The experienced field leader at the beginning of X-Factor, with a marriage and family already caught up in the decisions he's making.
