I’ve posted the first two X-Team Spotlights, covering the original X-Men and the 1975 Giant-Size rescue team. There’s a lot more I want to get into from the comics I’ve been reading. That includes the different X-Men lineups through the Phoenix years, Storm taking over, Kitty joining, Rogue and Rachel, the team rebuilding after the Mutant Massacre, and the whole Outback period. When someone leaves, comes back or takes on a different role, I want to cover that too. Then there’s New Mutants, X-Factor, Excalibur, Alpha Flight, Starjammers and early X-Force. I also want to spend time on groups like Fallen Angels, X-Terminators, Beta Flight, Gamma Flight and the Morlocks. Some of those don’t get nearly as much attention in discussions about the X-Men. The opposing groups are part of this as well. Brotherhood, Hellfire Club, Hellions, Freedom Force, Marauders, Horsemen, Reavers and the others they run into. Related teams like the Champions, New Defenders, New Warriors and Power Pack will come up where they connect to what I’ve read. I’ll keep doing a main post about the team, followed by individual posts about its members during that period. Alongside those, I’ve got things I want to discuss about Wolverine, Xavier, Carol Danvers and several of the bigger storylines, including Weapon X, Days of Future Past and Days of Future Present. I’ve finished Kings of Pain, so that’s where I’m stopping for now. As I keep reading, I’ll keep adding to it. These will go out over time, mixed in with the other things I’m posting, and I’ll be adding my own thoughts as we get into each one.
