I’ve been reading comics on and off for about 40 years, and I got much more serious about it around 15 or 20 years ago. I’ve spent a lot of time with these stories, and I want to start turning more of that reading experience into content here. Right now, I’ve worked my way from the early 1960s into the early 1990s with my X-Men reading. I just finished the four annuals I was working through, and there’s a lot I’d like to talk about: the teams, the characters, how they’ve changed, and things I picked up on while reading. Usually I’m reading a few different series at a time, so this won’t be limited to X-Men. I also want to do more with the games I’m playing. I already spend time reading and playing this stuff because I enjoy it. Now I want to share more of what I’m getting out of it. Over the next few months, I’ll be trying out some more series alongside the SCP spotlights. I’m putting together a plan for a couple of comics series now, mostly drawing from what I’ve actually read and experienced. Some posts might focus on a particular team or character. Others might be about a storyline, a detail I noticed, or something that happened in a game. As I keep reading and playing, I’ll keep finding things I want to talk about. I’ve got a lot of interests, and I want more of those to show up here as I continue building this account.
