SCP-007: Abdominal Planet
SCP-007 is a miniature planet suspended inside a man’s abdomen. A large section of the flesh and organs that should be there is missing. The planet is about 60 centimetres across, doesn’t touch his body, and apparently isn’t causing him any discomfort.
It has soil, water, weather and microscopic life. It resembles Earth, but its continents don’t match any known arrangement of Earth’s continents.
There are also two intelligent species living on it. Their technology is described as roughly equivalent to 15th-century Earth, and the Foundation checks their progress weekly. Neither species has been contacted.
The man says he woke up with it. He doesn’t need food or water, and researchers can’t verify his claimed identity. Even the identification numbers he gives them haven’t been issued.
He’s friendly, plays chess with one of the doctors and keeps asking for internet access. He’s housed in a furnished room and isn’t allowed to leave. SCP-007 is classified Euclid.
So there are really two things going on here: a world with its own developing civilizations, and a man who has to live with that world inside him while the Foundation studies it. The file spends time describing this impossible situation, then ends with the very ordinary question of whether he can have a computer.
The recommendation is no internet-connected computer, because it could compromise security.
