7/10 · 61. Josephus’s Antiquities of the Jews Completed around 93–94 CE, Antiquities of the Jews is Josephus’s twenty-book account of Jewish history, written in Greek under Roman rule. It begins with creation and continues through biblical history into the period before the revolt against Rome. Its retellings and later historical accounts make it valuable for comparison with other sources. Spirit Nation includes William Whiston’s translation, with Josephus’s preface available separately. https://t.co/DyQIAO7h7W
