This might be a bit rambly but this is what I kind of want to talk about right now: Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
I'm at a point where I put a tremendous amount of time into the game. I'm at 145 hours and I'm nowhere near done with the main quest. I've done a lot of side stuff: side quests, activities, missions, and all I can say is it's got its issues but it's an extremely good game, way better than I ever expected.
I think the few people who get turned off by the game, like the difficulty, it's almost like you can consider it to be a realism simulator because most of the aspects of the game are somewhat realistic. When you first start off you suck at everything. You're not good at running, picking stuff up, fighting, or anything.
It's when you start putting a lot of time into playing the game and you start leveling up different dynamics, like lock picking, stealth, swords, or whatever it is that you're using. The more you use and do those things, the better you get at them. The better you get at them, the more skills you learn and the better you get at it.
It's set up so the spelling is really good. Even something as simple as reading in the game: you don't know how to read. You have to get lessons to learn how to read first and then from there you practice reading by spending a lot of time reading. That doesn't even guarantee you know Latin.
My point is you learn the game as you play the game and the more you play the game, the more you learn the game. It's even a little bit more specific when it comes to things like alchemy and how the recipes happen. After putting in a tremendous amount of time I'm planning on transitioning from the first one straight into the second one when the time comes. I plan on playing both and so far it's been an amazing experience.
