Numbered List Repairer does a simple job: fix skipped, repeated or mixed numbering while keeping your original file unchanged.
It works with text, Markdown and JSON. You can choose where numbering starts or restarts, and it preserves item text, line endings and explicit fenced code.
Version 1.3.0 adds a check-only mode for finding lists that need repair. You can inspect the changes before saving a new copy.
This is another project I've marked Gold. It's a small, specific tool for a small, specific problem, and the work within that scope is finished.
