https://t.co/8FcUKNf3QK I've got a lot of labs that I've been working on over the last 8 months. Some of them are free, some of them are paid, some of them are games, some of them are web apps, and some of them are desktop apps that I'm working on. I've got a lot of labs but I've also got a lot of experiments, which are partial projects that I'm in the middle of building. The experiments are really a mess and that's my staging area. I'm just publicly working on those. I haven't really had a whole lot of updates in the last few weeks on that. I've had a lot of updates on things related to comics, video games, and technology but not a lot in regards to the labs. I'm about to explain why. On my labs I have a lab called Luminary Chat, which originally was meant to be like a chatbot/companion/whatever. I was trying to compete on some basic unique level with some of the chat systems out there that people use as companion bots or chatbots or whatever. It's hooked up to Open Router and Venus but it's set BYOK for people to basically bring over their own key because I'm not charging for anything on it right now. Later I may have paid tiers as well that have a certain amount of usage that runs through the APIs when I have enough demand for it. For now it's just "you bring your own key and you use it" and you can decide what model to use. I've had that initial version live for a while. I had two specific characters that I want built: - modeled off of one of my serial novels, Luminary - modeled off of a combination of a few different characters At the end of the day that one's pretty twisted and pretty toxic but the idea is the same. I had very specific characters that I wanted and I built the personalities and adjusted them around those two characters. It sat in my labs for a long time without me working on it because I was working on a bunch of other stuff. Recently I was working on a game and I suddenly had an idea so I started working on a version 2 of this Luminary chat. Right now I'm probably about 60% of the way through with it. I've got two characters that I'm currently creating. It's a lot because I have to create them, rig them, and animate them, and I'm running into a bunch of issues because I'm still learning how to do a lot of that. It's a lot, especially trying to get the hair right and everything, because I've got a very specific vision for those two characters. When I'm done with that I'm going to be adding a third character with a third personality based off of another idea that I had. When I update version 2 of this app, it's going to be an extra character with completely modeled, animated, and everything 3D characters. Then it's going to have what I'm calling a companion mode. Companion Mode is a full house with the characters that I'm creating implemented in a 3D world where they can interact with the environment. I'm probably going to have to settle for a rudimentary version of it at first because it's taken me so long working on the characters and I have a lot of other projects I'm wanting to work on. I'm trying to get something started. It'll evolve into something much bigger but if I can just get the characters done, I plan on putting them in the world and then getting the house kind of cleaned up and set up. I plan on adding a bunch of interactive stuff so it's almost going to be like a Sims-style game. The AI system itself will be living in the world and it'll have the power to control and interact with the character and do things in the world in front of you. I have a lot of ideas. There are a lot of things I can do with this and a lot of directions I could take it in.
