Poem: Reunion (Ignore formatting, just copied and pasted to X).
It eats at me, pulls at me, and draws me ever near: the corroded, rusty edge of a knife, the dark visage of terror sitting at the window, beckoning me to jump, and that dark embrace waiting for a hug that’ll never come. Instead of a hug, it comes in the form of an embrace—of a dark… reunion.
Find yourself… or die. Lose yourself… or live.
What’s left? Nothing’s left… nothing but death.
An angry visage, one of great terror. One of great… distraught.
Stop breathing down the dark heart of the savior.
See me. Hear me. Or don’t. If not, then bury me. Bury me with those I love.
Ashes and ashes and dust to dust, but all that’s left is dust.
