I have a lot of labs, projects, games, and apps that I've been working on over time. Occasionally I'll retire one that I don't think is worth it. Today I'm deleting and removing the API Foundry completely.
The API database had gotten up to about 180 GB and it hadn't really built any traction or interest at all since I launched it. It was pretty much just sitting there burning through unnecessary usage. The more I think about it, the less likely it is for people to really need or want an API, even a complex one, just because with AI you can do almost anything you would need on an API level with just a few minutes of Codex or Claude or whatever.
That's what these labs are for. A lot of them are experimental, just to see if they take off, to see if there's any real movement or purpose. So far that one turned out to be useless so I'm just clearing that out to free up the space for other stuff. That mostly is to make room for the game that I'm working on in Unreal Engine because I needed a lot more space and I don't want to upgrade my server yet. I had 181 GB of that database that was just sitting there unused.
