I'm almost finished with the next update for my Mini Forge. This is going to be a huge update. It's going to include achievement systems, tokens, and purchasable games via tokens, with some games being locked. All the games will be unlockable through tokens, which you can earn through gameplay and achievements. People can also buy forged tokens if they want to, as an option to bypass having to grind for it.
I'm not currently adding any more mini games into the system except for a few of the paid ones that are starting points because this was a huge restructural change. I've also done a lot of fixes to the layout. I've redone the menu, how the information pages are presented, and how the layouts are presented for the games and everything. There are a lot of structural changes and then I cut open all my existing open-source games and built out the achievement systems so you can earn achievements and everything from doing it.
I have a really good idea for a bigger vision that I'm working on over time but I think this is a great stepping point. This will bump the version up from 1.3 to a big version 2 release. The details will be in the changelog. I haven't promoted or updated the beta to live yet. Over the next few hours I'm just testing a few things out, tightening a few things up, and then I'll take it live and post on here once it's live.
Another thing I'm doing is I decided on one of my games. If you go to Logan Pendragon Forge and you look at experiments, there's one that was called Environment. Now it's called Motherload. I'm switching this to Unreal Engine because the vision I have for this game is far beyond what I can do in a browser. Right now I have a tremendous amount of ideas. I'm currently working on rebuilding what I had in the browser, where I still have the browser prototype up there, into Windows. I'm going to be using Unreal Engine. I'm installing all that now and learning how to use it as I go. I'm going to be rebuilding what I have there into Unreal Engine and then starting to work on a deeper version of it. This is going to be slow going. It's one of my side projects. This is one of the ones I have very high hopes for over the next couple of years. I'm not in any real hurry alongside the other labs that I have going but I'm working on that now as well.
