All right I'm still catching up. Like I said there were a couple of days there where I did not post and I was doing a lot of different stuff. I'm taking a break from writing for a little while. I don't know why. I just can't seem to get into it right now. I think it's because of work. I don't know but I'll get back into it soon.
I've been reading comics. I was reading Grimm Fairy Tales but now I've been catching up on X-Men because I've been stuck in the 1960s stretch for a while. That's been one of my main things that I'm reading. I'm not talking about just Uncanny X-Men. I'm talking about every X-Men comic ever made: guest appearances, following characters as they go off on tangents, off into left field, whatever. I'm around the 1990s right now so I've got them set up in a read order that I'm working through. I just finished up Wolverine Volume 1, 21 through 26, and then Marvel Comics Presents 54 through 61. I'm up to Uncanny X-Men #260, New Mutants #89, X-Factor #53. I just now started on Marvel Fanfare #50, which I'm working on now, and then I'm going to work my way up to the end of Claremont. I want to get through Claremont. I love Claremont as a writer and that whole era was amazing.
I've just been in it for over a decade now, just back-to-back reading. There's a 10-year period from 1991 until very early 2000s where it was more like an editorial territory. It was multiple different writers across multiple different comics before they transitioned into a newer long-term writer in the early 2000s. I'm looking forward to getting into that editorial era and I'm hoping my per-comic read time kind of speeds up because they do less explaining. I don't know. So far it's been an amazing run. I've been kind of just working through it. A lot of things are happening in the comic that's frustrating me but it's coming together.
