The new Wolverine game, follow me on a thought trail a minute.
Trask has this organization he runs. He has some form of funding from somewhere. Now imagine each "employee" he has, the normal ones with the guns, no augmentations. Just normal soldiers. Imagine how much each one gets paid as a wage, retirement, benefits, whatever their yearly salary might be, plus training, plus combat training, plus being armed. Then think of the reavers. Higher pay grade, more augments, changes to their body, enhanced cybernetics, enhanced training. All the trucks, the gear.
Now imagine what the cost might be for one of his research facilities and bases. From the location, the property ownership, the construction, all the lab tech equipment, experiments, holding areas for the mutants flowing in stuff, all the walkways and all that. Then imagine how much of funding Wolverine blew through in the game slaughtering everyone, I'm only about 6 hours in maybe (give or take). But image each single person he kills, each reaver he kills, all the truckes he destroys when he's on the road. Fun to think about.
So walking through this. A normal US security guard makes about 38k a year, police are around 79k per year.
Trask's people (even non-reavers) are armed, deployable quickly, combat trained and also do spec ops missions for him (which means selective recruiting). Not to mention if he pays for thinsg like: Hazard pay, benefits, insurance, retirement, payroll, and all the stuff necessary for security clearance, background checks, recruiting... and all the other related costs. I'd assume about... 250,000 per soldier? NON reaver soldiers. That would be his out of pocket costs on any new hire, including training. Not to mention the yearly investment each.
Wolverine cuts through even 5 that's over a million dollars, imagine how many if you added up all the kills in the game, all the vehicles and research facilities that were shut down or destroyed, even the "Mutant detection machines' are a strong piece of hardway, probably 50k a piece in the end to put together.
I had fun thinking through that when I was killing everyone.
