Part two: It would basically work like this. You would be able to live your life in the normal city of Willow and Northgate, a life simulator, working a job, building relationships, a full-blown life simulator. Whenever you want to, you can go in your house and connect into this strange device and it'll take you into another world. That's going to be the name of what you shift into. - One might be a zombie apocalypse survival game. It'll take place in the exact same map but the world will be different: buildings boarded up, fewer survivors. A full-blown game built inside of a game, as you're like in a simulation inside the game, and things that you do in the real game can, in some ways, affect the real life. It's like an interweaving story between the two. - There will be another world called the Drowned, which will be the same world but it's underwater. You have to swim through the world and handle everything while you can suddenly breathe underwater in the world and you're underwater, living underwater. - Yet another would be a cyberpunk-style game reminiscent of the old Shadowrun games for Super Nintendo and Sega. That's what I would be using as my inspiration because I love those games. Again it would be in the same city but inside the world you can connect cybernetics to yourself, have street fights, and everything else. - Another one would be a brawler world where you step into the same map again and the people are all over the place punching each other out, fist-fighting. You have to work through the game navigating fist-fights with other people. These are just some random ideas. I don't know which ones I'm going to use in the final version and which ones I'm not but the ideas are there. Right now I'm building the initial game. I'm just now finishing up the final touches on my exteriors in the main city and then I plan on working on the interiors for a while and getting a lot of that perfect. Then I'm just going to start stacking game mechanics and testing it as I go. When I get a good stable basis, then I'm going to start focusing on trying to get the storyline built out and finding voice actors, probably friends and family and people I know that can handle the voice acting for me. I'll be writing the scripts for the storyline myself as well because I'm a writer so I do a lot of writing. I'll end up writing the script myself for the storyline and then having it voice-acted, possibly in the long run. These are all random ideas but this is probably one of my most ambitious projects. This whole thing that I've been doing is that I start to slowly shift away from client work. I'm calling it my cereal entrepreneurial ecosystem. Eventually I want to do this full time and build stuff for full time instead of clients and whatever extra time I have, I want to focus on writing full time. Eventually I want to transition away from working for clients all the time to splitting my time in two: - Half of my time will be building out this serial entrepreneur ecosystem indefinitely. - The other half will be writing full time and starting to really build that income over a period of time. I got a lot planned and a lot I'm working on so I'm looking forward to seeing how all this turns out.
