The first pass works pretty well. It doesn't allow me to do whiteouts for annotated PDFs so I'm going to fix that now. I'm going to fix it so it opens the PDFs up at 100% instead of 60%.
While I'm in there I'm going to add the ability to:
- duplicate pages
- insert blank pages
- export current pages out of it
- keep the scroll position after each edit
I'm just adding a few extra features. If it works for what I needed it for, I'm going to go through and probably add a couple more features and then release it. I'll revisit it later to add more features and make it better.
Normally when I build something I try to go all in. Eventually I'll try to have all the features that Adobe has but for free and open source. I don't have a description of the Adobe PDF editor but I'll look it up later and see what all features it has. I'll start building them into the open source version so people will have a fully functional professional PDF editor that's completely open source, so they don't have to pay for it.
There are hundreds of editors out there that you go to download or do it online and then all of a sudden at the very end it tries to charge you. I'm going to open source this one completely. It was something I needed and I got hit with like three different files. I downloaded the same thing so it was useful for me.
