I'm wondering if Codex with Astro probably handles open tabs on other threads. If I start 7 threads and those threads all start browser tabs and start working in different tabs, and then that thread's finished and sits forever with 7 or 8 open threads, and you triple that, all those threads that are open that have tabs still consume memory and resources on your computer (because those tabs are technically open even if they're in another thread).
I'm not sure and I don't feel like testing out all the benchmarks and everything but I'm just noticing that since Astro came out it's been bogging down my older computer. One of the things I've got to do is upgrade to a new computer when I can. In the meantime I'm now having to restart every once in a while, especially when we're dealing with Blender and game worlds and things like that.
I'm just wondering if that might be one of the issues because a lot of times I have this thing where I'll do a soft reset: I delete all of the threads and clear out everything except for skills, plugins, and operational stuff just to clear it all out. It works great for me because it makes things speed up a lot but I also don't like doing that all the time. I like keeping a history because sometimes I like revisiting it so I don't know what's going on.
It might just be the fact that I'm running Blender headlessly and I got it in the background. Maybe that alone is enough to cause it but it wasn't happening before. I went back to old threads and started opening the source and starting to clear out some of the older browser tabs just in case that's causing it but I don't know. I'll keep playing around with it.
