One thing I'm working on (I'm not even sure what I'm going to do) is that there's a creator on here named Token Gremlin who created a water/storm generation engine, which looks and functions really well. There was another guy who added something to it to make it so you can go underwater. The token also released something for trees. I've taken all three of those and put them together into one environment and then I ended up adding an island to the middle of it and played around with that for a while. I ended up adding a human walking avatar on the island and expanded and improved the animations on that until I got a somewhat functioning avatar that looks halfway decent, with halfway decent movements. I started thinking, went ahead and added that, and I called that the Beginner Island, which is where you start when the game first loads. I added Hawaii after that, or one of the cities of Hawaii. Now I'm trying to see how far I can take it in regards to making Hawaii look like the real city. As I continue to add new stuff to it, I plan on setting it up to where you can basically visit all of Hawaii. I want it to be as realistic as I can get. I plan on adding all 52 states of America and then expanding from there. I don't even know where I'm going with this. I'm just experimenting but I have an idea for a potential complex game world if it comes together nice enough. I'm just experimenting with it right now. I also added in one of the stores in the city in Hawaii. I picked one of the businesses that was a real car dealership and I added a fictional car dealership at the same location in the game. You can buy cars. It's obviously very rudimentary but you can buy a car in the game or in the world and then drive around on the map. The driving controls are pretty decent. The graphics are very bad so far but that's just a few hours' worth of work. I've been playing with this last night and I think I'm onto something. I've got an idea for a relatively big game that I was envisioning years ago that might come together from the efforts of this. I am going to do more work on the ocean and other elements, especially with how the ocean meets the land, but I'm really happy with how it's gone so far. Even if I'm only in the very beginning stages, I'm still working on it throughout today, tonight, and tomorrow.
