So I was reading Grimm Fairytales 93. It's an older series that I'm just now catching up on and I found this one really interesting. Basically the concept is this: there are four swords throughout history. - The first sword is wielded by Arthur Pendragon, which is Excalibur. - The second is a sword called Ame-no-murakumo, Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven. - The third sword is Mistilteinn - The fourth is Chrysaor. All four weapons together were given back to the Realm Keepers or the Knights of the Realm, then melted down and forged into one sword that has four gems. Each gem has an attribute associated with one of the weapons: - Green heals whoever wears it. - Blue makes the sword appear and disappear as needed. - Gold which purifies evil. - Excalibur, which is the extinguished flames. So flames on command. I thought this was one of the more interesting ideas I've read in a book in a while.
