OpenAI just launched a 200.00 per month PRO plan for ChatGPT. It’s actually pretty nice and gives you access to a lot of new features, improved limits and a lot better response times and processing power. It seems to also have a lot better context as well. Plus it gives you better access to Sora, Operator and several others. However some people can’t afford the 200.00 per month price tag associated with the plan, so I’m going to explain how you can get it for less.
Here is how it works. The ChatGPT billing system works off a sliding scale based off how much time would be left. So you subscribe to the 20.00 per month plus account. Then you allow that time to pass. At any time you can upgrade to the PRO account, and it gives you a sliding scale price based off how much time was left in your plus subscription. If you get down to 5-6 days left, it’ll only charge you 30-40 dollars. If you have more days left it’ll charge you more, but it’ll still be less than the base 200. Once you get into a comfortable range, then upgrade the account and you’ll have access to the Pro account throughout the remainder of your time, until it ends. Then when it ends (after bouncing off your card) you’ll still get access to it for about another week before it cancels. Then you can just resubscribe to the plus account again, and start the process over again.
A great way to test out the pro account as you are able to afford, without going outside your budget. Worked great for me, and it’s built to work like that, so you aren’t breaking any rules or terms of service agreements.
