Game Series I’ve Beaten: A Deep Dive – Halo

Halo is hands down one of my favorite series of all time. I’ve been playing these games for years, and they’ve been a huge part of my gaming experience. The story, the characters, the gameplay—it all just hits. There’s something about the dynamic between Master Chief and Cortana that really carries the series for me. The way their relationship evolves across the games, from mission-driven AI and supersoldier partnership to something much deeper, is one of the best aspects of the franchise.

And of course, the gameplay is just chef’s kiss. The balance of tight gunplay, vehicle combat, and the sandbox-style encounters make Halo one of the most satisfying shooters out there. Whether it’s sticking a plasma grenade on an Elite, hijacking a Ghost mid-combat, or pulling off a last-second flag capture in multiplayer, Halo just has that magic that keeps me coming back.

Here’s the list of Halo games I’ve beaten:

Halo: Combat Evolved

Halo 2

Halo 3

Halo 3: ODST

Halo: Reach

Halo 4

Halo 5: Guardians

Halo Infinite

Yep, I’ve played them all. Campaigns, multiplayer, everything. Each one brings something different, but if I had to pick favorites, Halo 3 and Reach probably top the list for me. Halo 3 just nailed everything—the story, the multiplayer, the legendary co-op moments. And Reach? That one hits different. The way it builds up to the fall of Reach, knowing exactly how it’s all going to end but still getting completely invested, is masterful storytelling.

Infinite had a lot of highs and lows for me. I almost had a perfect game in it, but the issue I ran into was I missed 1 collectible from near the beginning, and after that i Just decided to finish the game. But overall it was an amazing game and I enjoyed it a lot. The open world concept was different for Halo and I loved it. Most of the ones before it were very linear.

Overall, the Halo series is one I’ll always go back too. It’s one of those franchises that just defines an era of gaming for me, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
