I rarely use Snapchat, but I recently had a desire to know how many people I had on my list. The app doesn’t provide any specific numbering so normally you have to go out of your way to manually count them all, then someone showed me a way to find out how many you have without all the stress.
Here’s the process I used. Warning… you have to turn on your snap map location to everyone for a brief moment, so there is some inherent risk involved, so you will want to be quick with the steps to avoid making yourself vulnerable.
- Click the icon on the top left that shows your face/bitmoji/placeholder image.
- Scroll down to snap map and click “Sharing location”
- Pick the option “Only These Friends”
- Scroll down and “select all” on them all. You’ll have to do the first few sets but after a bit it’ll do them all, and once all are added, go back to the same page you were previously and it’ll say “Sharing locating with X friends” showing you the exact number.
- Go back immediately and change it back to what you had.
Then you’ll know the exact number you have, keeping in mind the maximum number of friends is 5000. Also, it’ll only show you on the map for a few seconds if you’re quick, and someone would have to be looking for it to notice.
