I am around 160 hours into the game and in the process of wrapping it up. I noticed a few key things that I wanted to share. These may seem random and disconnected, but anyone playing the game will understand the nature and meaning of what I’m saying.
1. Nidhogg – When fighting the boss, as long as you don’t die, you can go into the menu and return to the title screen. Once you’re in the title screen, you can reload your game, and it’ll start you back at the beginning of the boss with full health, without having to redo the entire run each time.
2. Cult members – Most cult members can be killed without having to collect all the clues (but not all of them). If you look up their location and kill them directly, it saves you a lot of time having to hunt for clues (if you’re in a hurry).
3. Out of all the builds and equipment sets I tried, the most powerful was when I learned Dual Wield 2-handed weapons. Then, I equipped Leonidas Spear and Gae Bolg. It’s a powerhouse combination, and the magic effects on each weapon were amazing. Regarding gear, I wore the same armor throughout the entire game (one of the starter sets); however, after finishing the game, I switched to the final armor set you get after completing the final reflections quest.
